Graveyard Survey Project

For the last two years a team of volunteers has been engaged in recording Mearns Kirk Graveyard. The initial listing of all of the gravestones has been completed and the recent award of Heritage Lottery Funding means that the information can now be prepared for formal publication in the form of a web site, CD Rom and handbook.

The team is eager to augment its records with the inclusion of local history data. Members of the congregation are asked to assist by providing snippits of information about the families interred in the graveyard and about the farming families of the Mearns
