Services

Mearns Kirk's Minister and Congregation are delighted to welcome any visitors to join in and share in the fellowship of their worship on Sunday Mornings.

Services are held on Sunday Mornings normally at 9:30 am and 11:00 am. During July and August there is one service only at 10:30 am. On Christmas and New Year there is one service at 10:30 am. 

Midweek Worship

Our midweek worship will be held in the New Hall on  3rd December, 10th December, 17th December, 24th December and 31st December and 7th January, 14th January, 21 January and 28 January 2009 at 10.30 a.m. -  everyone welcome

Worship with the Senses

On Tuesday, 23rd December, worship with the senses will be in the Church building.  This will be a time for quiet, thoughtful reflection, and that in the midst of a candlelit church!  7.30 – 8.30 pm, a time and a place for everyone. Come in the midst of the hurly-burly and hear what God is saying to you

On Tuesday 27 January 2009, worship with the senses will be held in the Church Hall at 7.30 p.m.

If you want to learn more about the Christian faith, tackle the biggest questions facing humanity and examine your own beliefs in fellowship with others ...then this is for you!.

Christmas Celebrations and Special Services

Advent begins on Sunday 30th November, which of course is St Andrew’s Day!  Our Gift Service will be on 7th December, when folks are encouraged to bring a gift marking on the gift tag whether it is for a boy or a girl and for what age. On the evening of 7th December at 6.30 pm our service of Remembering Those  We Love, will take place.   The following Sunday 14th has our normal advent services in the morning but in the evening we have our Candles, Carols and Communion at 6.30 pm.  The Nativity Play is on 21st at 10.30 am. This is always a wonderful service!  Watchnight as usual takes place on 24th at 11.30 pm and the Christmas Day service at 10.30 am.  There will be one service on Sunday 28th at 10.30 am.

Sacraments

Communion Services:

The Lords Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday in February, June and November.

Preparatory Service held on the Friday evening before Communion at 7:30 pm. Communion on Sunday at 10:30 am.

Baptisms:

Baptism will be administered by arrangement with the Minister.
